Big PC vendors surely have the financial resources to implement almost anything. For instance, Dell has recently disclosed that they will be offering their employees free Venue Pro, in exchange for their BlackBerry devices. In fact, if you take a closer look at the total number of RIM smartphones that are already being used by Dell’s employees, it’s a whopping 25,000 smartphones.
However, Dell’s move to cut RIM devices in their offices have another ulterior motive, whereby the move would see to cut Dell’s communication costs by as much as a quarter, which is pretty significant though. On the other hand, such moves would also coincide with Dell’s goal to push out their smartphones for consumers. Also, the Venue Pro would be utilizing the Windows Phone 7 operating system, and Dell discloses that they will be pushing out Android variants in the future too.
