Well computing concept is nearing its limit, whereby the computer processor is crammed with so many transistors, it is virtually impossible to make these transistors any smaller. On the other hand, it also seems that scientists are already exploring other options in order to create more powerful computers for the future.
In fact, a group of researchers at MIT has managed to research something called the germanium-on-silicon laser. And this particular technology might hold the answer of future computing technology, whereby it might revolutionize the entire microprocessor concept, simply by enabling something called the optical computing technology.
