Microsoft Downgrade Fees Lawsuit Thrown Out Of Court PDF Print E-mail
Written by Users Idea

Earlier, Microsoft was charging something called the XP downgrade fees on consumers who opted to downgrade their operating system to Windows XP, got sued as Emma Alvarado found that Microsoft was simply profiting from the exercise. Generally, Emma Alvarado mentioned that the downgrade fees were unjustifiable and Microsoft was making money out of the move.

Well it seems that Microsoft has every reason to rejoice, as US District Court Judge Marsha Pechman found out that Microsoft did not gain any value from these charges. The US judge also found out that these fees were charged by Lenovo, and not Microsoft, and this was the primary reason that the lawsuit was struck out of the court.

Surely, this particular lawsuit is clearly a waste of time and money for Microsoft and Marsha Pechman, don’t you think so?
