Peugeot EX1 Sets New Lap Record for Electric Cars |

The Peugeot all-electric EX1 is a marvelous electric vehicle, and it gets even more interesting as Peugeot has just recently set a new lap record for the electric car category through the EX1. Generally, the EX1 made its grand debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, and a year later, the car was further fine-tuned by the Peugeot team, which gave the vehicle a flawless run at Germany's Nürburgring circuit.
According to Peugeot, the car completed the entire lap with a record time of 9 minutes and 1.338 seconds, while averaging on 85.9 miles per hour. The previous record that was set by the Mini E last year, only managed 9 minutes and 51 seconds. Although the lap record won’t significantly help Peugeot to sell one of these vehicles to consumers, still, it’s a great achievement and a great way to celebrate the automaker’s 200th anniversary.
