US Government Contractor Developing Microwave Gun PDF Print E-mail
Written by Users Idea

The government is always looking for ways to create new weapons – whereby we’ve heard of their efforts of creating laser weapons, such as the Star Wars system. Nevertheless, it also seems that the US government is also secretly developing a microwave gun too, dubbed as the High-Powered Microwave (HPM) gun, which would be primarily used to disable small boat engines.

Generally, the High-Powered Microwave (HPM) gun can generate a strong microwave beam across multiple targets, whereby the beam can hit as many as 10 to 30 small boats within its path. And according to the contractor, the beam has an effective ratio off knocking out 50% to 75% of the engines in a swarm. Microwave guns? Now that’s something refreshing from the government.
