I’m sure you might have seen the video which shows Boeing competing with Lockheed Martin over a multi-billion dollars military contract which involves the development of the next generation vertical take-off and landing aircraft. Generally, Lockheed Martin won the contract, and their latest vertical take-off and landing is none other than the F-35B.
Basically, the F-35B has been put into extreme tests by Lockheed Martin, whereby the aircraft took off vertically from the runway, and subsequently fly into supersonic speed. And once the aircraft reached the supersonic speed, it was slowed down considerably, and hovered in mid air.
That’s something I’d like to see, wouldn’t you?
