Cell phone flashlights suck, as these tiny little LEDs emit marginal amount of light, which isn’t significant in helping to capture clear and bright pictures at night. Nevertheless, the latest technological advancements in LED flash controller has revolutionized these tiny little flashlights, in which the latest LED flashlight disclosed by STMicroelectronics promises to give floodlight brightness.
Basically, the STMicroelectronics uses a supercapacitor in order boost the light capacity of the LED. Apparently, the supercapacitor can store up to 40 watts of power, allowing the LED to produce the same level of brightness of an outdoor security floodlight. And with higher brightness emitted by the LED, this helps high megapixel camera sensors to absorb more light, while cutting down the need for longer exposure when taking photos in dim lighted areas. Also, the respective technology will be retailed at $2 a pop later this year – I’m guessing all future cell phones will be equipped with this particular LED.

Of course, if you own a huge range of smartphones and tablets, I’m pretty sure you’ll find the PowerPad 16 USB Station to be very handy indeed. Basically, the PowerPad 16 USB Station comes with a whopping 16 USB Charging Hub, which practically means that you can plug in a whopping 16 different devices to be charged on the charging station.
According to PowerPad’s maker, it seems that the PowerPad was specifically designed to charge Apple devices, whereby the 16 USB ports are can output 2.1-amp each. However, I’m sure that the USB ports can be used to charge other devices, and also to charge your batteries as well. Don’t you just like the idea of a self-sustaining cell phone, which doesn’t need to be recharged through an electrical output, but rather recharges itself when being used? Such ideas might seem preposterous, but surely, Arman Ahnood thinks otherwise. Literally, Arman Ahnood is a researcher at the London Centre for Nanotechnology, and he is developing a prototype which includes solar cells on the display, which are able to capture waster energy emitted from OLEDs.
Naturally, the solar cells would grab the light emitted from the OLEDs, can funnel the energy back into the cell phone. Ahnood added that his prototype now runs a 11 percent efficiency, which its peak performance at 18 percent. At present time, Ahnood’s prototype is able to generate 5 miliwatts of power from a 3.7 inch screen, which is hardly sustainable for the phone at the moment. Ahnood also added that only 36 percent of the light is projected outwards, which also suggests that devices could in fact save more energy through dimmer more energy efficient displays.

To tell you the truth, I’m shopping for a special anniversary gift for my girlfriend, in which we will be celebrating our 3rd year together this coming week. Generally, the anniversary gift must be special and she loves surprises too. I’m thinking of getting her a beautiful diamond and pearl necklace, as I’m sure she’s pretty fond of beautiful jewelry. Based on my personal shopping experience, it isn’t expensive to purchase such necklaces, provided you know where to shop that is. And just the other day, I managed to get hold of this 20% off redenvelope discount codes, which would be put into good use. Quite frankly speaking, I only shop at web stores that offer discounts through coupon codes, as these codes enable me to save tremendously on my purchases. |

Looking for an ultra-cool music mixer that doesn’t come with knobs and a turn-table? Well if you are, then you should probably pay close attention to Line6’s latest StageScape visual mixer. As the name implies, the respective mixer is controlled via a tiny 7-inch screen found at the middle of the mixer. Rather than fumbling over a mash of faders and buttons, you’ll need to slide the instrument’s icons in order to control the parameters.
On the other hand, the Line6 StageScape visual mixer comes with a barrage of connectivity too, which consists of 12 line / mic, 2 USB/SD streaming, and it also supports four XLR monitors, two master outputs.
